David's new role as a restaurant owner is put to the test after he loses some of his waiters when an important food critic comes to Coal. Lauren tries to get David to forgive her, she pitches in as waitress/hostess. Ella wants to attempts to clear her name WPK files to erase the fake evidence against her. but Jonah disagrees with her tactics. Riley throws a fundraiser by auctioning off dates, but Jonah and Drew get into a bidding war over Riley, but Ella has the winning bid.
